Death is what happens when a player's health reaches zero.
When you die in STW, you will not drop anything at the moment of death.
Causes of Death[ | ]
Death may occur from:
- Damage inflicted by enemies and bosses
- Drowning
- Lava
- Traps
- Being trapped below Silt/Slush/Sand (Suffocation)
- Fall damage
- Other damage-over-time debuffs, typically inflicted by enemies
- Being "stabbed" by the Companion Cube
Difficulty Differences[ | ]
Whilst it is possible to play a mediumcore and Hardcore character in STW, it is highly recommended to play a Softcore character as the other difficulty modes are not supported.
A Softcore character will not drop anything at the moment of death.
A Template:Eil character will lose all carried items upon death.
A Template:Eil character will lose all of their items upon death. The character is deleted upon death and the player turns into a ghost, unable to interact with the environment, but still able to observe, move about, and chat with other players.
